The Hotel Old Castle**** - Starosedlsky Hradek. Castle is situated on the lakeshore in the picturesque area on the border of the Central and Southern parts of the Czech Republic. Built originally in the 14th century the Castle has been repeatedly reconstructed and has had several changes of owners. Among its residents were Czech aristocratic families and the board of Jesuit society as well as a well-known Schwarzenberg family. In 1999 the Castle underwent a complex reconstruction and at present houses the Recreational Centre 'Starosedlsky Hradek', non-state medical institution of the Czech Republic.
The Recreational Centre is dedicated to revitalising procedures for patients with desinchronosis, chronic tiredness, adaptation and immunity disturbances. It offers obesity treatment and preventive procedures for people with cardiac-vascular system pathologies.
An invigorating mild climate of low hills district with moderate summer and winter temperatures, relatively stable pressure and air of the lake region which is rich with ions - all of this adds well to the treatment course of various medical methods applied in the Centre.
Hotel offers to the guests disposal: three comfortable bars, a billiard room, a fitness centre, two saunas with mini swimming pools, a cosmetic salon. A beautiful yard of the Castle with its Japanese garden, pretty decorations and picturesque paths along the lake shore will help our guests to relax and receive full rehabilitation of their health.
The Recreational Centre includes a high class hotel with 20 luxurious rooms equipped with all modern facilities.
All the guest-rooms are equipped with a satellite television, a mini-bar and a telephone with an international line. The furniture is hand-made of mahogany. All the rooms are decorated in a unique inimitable way.
The standard accommodation offers a fully equipped guest room with a view on the castle yard. Upon the clients' will and at extra cost they may use a suite, a suite with two bathrooms or a Royal Suite. The clients may also take advantage of two presidential suites
